Proverbs 14:4 NIV Without oxen a stable stays clean, but you need a strong ox for a large harvest. Who doesn't like a stable that stays clean all the time? But to produce crops, farmers need help of oxen (bulls, cows or carabaos) to tilt the land. Well, we do have motorized tractor now but the same truth remains that acquiring tools for work requires sizeable amount of effort - like cleaning the stable, maintaining the machines in good conditions with routine checkups, or learning how to use a mac/pc to increase productivity. Having an electric oven requires money to purchase and install but without it, I won't be able to learn how to bake muffins. Stretching the application of this verse to relationships, living disconnected from people will remove many problems in your life. However, your life will be dull and meaningless because you don't create value to other people's life if you live alone in an island.

Understand Passionately

More often than not, being hasty never ends good. Passion is great but it must be go hand-in-hand with knowledge. Don't do anything that you don't understand. Never invest in anything, no matter how high the returns, if you don't understand it. And please consult your parents or your spouse before making any major decision in your life - job, marriage, buying a house, etc. On a different note, enthusiams is critical in every success but praying keeps you in sync with God.

Listen well, and listen more

Proverbs 12:18 NIV The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Healing is a process that could happen fast, some takes overnight, and some pain takes even a longer time to heal. Our words have power to hasten every healing process if spoken wisely, or it could amplify the pain more and prolong the healing process. Wisdom from God helps us to speak the right words at the right to help another person becomes whole again. Therefore, it is crucial that we are in constant communication with the Lord. If in times that you are not sure what say, just keep quiet and pray that God will put the right words on your mouth. That's why it is wise to dedicate a portion of your time everyday to commune with the Lord to keep you alert with God's whisper.
