Proverbs 20:5 NIV
The purposes of a person's heart are deep waters, but one who has insight draws them out.

This proverb reminds us that people, including you and I, always put our best foot forward. We sometimes bend the truth, or carefully skipped important details, to project the image that we want others to think about us or our plans.

We need insight from God to really know what does the other person really thinking or planning to do. In other words, we need to acquire a specific skill to extract the real meaning of the words that was conveyed by other people. This skill requires insight and wisdom from God, and so we need to connect with the Lord Jesus Christ everyday to have this. This extracting skill will filter conveyed messages to us to safely remove any potential lies to get the truth. On the positive side, we  also need to use this skill to get the essence of the advises that are given by wise people around us.
