Proverbs 23:4-5 NIV
Do not wear yourself out to get rich; do not trust your own cleverness. [5] Cast but a glance at riches, and they are gone, for they will surely sprout wings and fly off to the sky like an eagle.
We grew up in an environment where we need to do well in our studies so that we can have better earning jobs when we grew up. We need sacrifices for us to not only survive, but to excel in our chosen fields. In this race, people exchange their time for more money. Sometimes, we forget to live as we do our best to get ahead and have more. God want us to know our priorities, and although having wealth is always good it should not be our primary objective in life.
Slow down for a while, and savor all the blessings that God has already provided to each one of us. Be thankful for the relationships that we have, and enjoy that food as we eat in the comfort of our homes. We don't only live once, but we should be living our life every day. Take time to enjoy your life, right now.
