Proverbs 16:3 NLT Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed. Commit means to pledge or bind (a person or an organization) to a certain course or policy. Whatever it is that you aim to do, it is crucial to always include God from conception to execution to be certain that your effort will have a lasting effect throughout eternity. Perpetuality gives meaning to all our endeavors. There are many millionaires today that don't believe in God, we might say that today they are financially successful but all their gain means nothing when they die. To have meaningful life, real success in life should be based on the things that will last forever. Like King Solomon, it is very possible to be financially successful, famous, powerful yet live with full respect to the Almighty God. So let's always commit our efforts to God! Let's always consider what do God desires that we can incorporate in our daily routine.

Excellence

Proverbs 22:29 NIV Do you see someone skilled in their work? They will serve before kings; they will not serve before officials of low rank. God gave each one of us talents that we need to nurture and use everyday. It should be our desire to improve ourselves every single day because our God is a God of Excellence. All creations of our God are beautiful in its time. Let us fight laziness and complacency with diligence, creativity, and continuous improvement. Be a better version of yourself everyday, dedicating your work to God Himself. Amen.

Cost of Productivity

Proverbs 14:4 NIV Without oxen a stable stays clean, but you need a strong ox for a large harvest. Who doesn't like a stable that stays clean all the time? But to produce crops, farmers need help of oxen (bulls, cows or carabaos) to tilt the land. Well, we do have motorized tractor now but the same truth remains that acquiring tools for work requires sizeable amount of effort - like cleaning the stable, maintaining the machines in good conditions with routine checkups, or learning how to use a mac/pc to increase productivity. Having an electric oven requires money to purchase and install but without it, I won't be able to learn how to bake muffins. Stretching the application of this verse to relationships, living disconnected from people will remove many problems in your life. However, your life will be dull and meaningless because you don't create value to other people's life if you live alone in an island.
