Food Bribery

Proverbs 23:1-3 NIV
When you sit to dine with a ruler,
note well what is before you, [2] and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony. [3] Do not crave his delicacies, for that food is deceptive.

Many people's convictions are diluted over a free feast resulting into bad decisions. This proverb warns us to guard ourselves against food bribery. Enjoying a good meal with business partners or acquantances are fine as long as it does not alter your decision-making capacity. But It is always better to celebrate on a meal together once all decisons are already final.
