Proverbs 31:4-5 NIV
It is not for kings, Lemuel---it is not for kings to drink wine, not for rulers to crave beer, [5] lest they drink and forget what has been decreed, and deprive all the oppressed of their rights.
Alcoholic breverages give genuine happiness to mankind. Sometimes people temporarily forget all the issues of life, and sadly, many longed to stay in this fantasy. It is not wrong to drink wine or beers but if it starts to control you, then it is a different story. The bible even suggested that you should avoid alcoholic beverages altogether if you hold a high office such as a king, prime minister, president, judge, general, etc... because drinking alcoholic breverages cloud our judgment and it is very possible that our decisions might be driven by greed, lust, or selfishness. At all costs, influential people should avoid alcohol to ensure that justice is served and the poor are protected. Avoiding alcoholic breverages also protect you from your own selfish desires. So this ECQ2, please obey the IATF liquor ban. My prayer for you is that you will practice liquor ban all your life 😀
